March Take 3 challenge update #2

I broke my budget.  I left the country and did not resist the lure of Wal-Mart, Target Wegman’s or Sam’s Club.  Others go shopping and buy clothes, shoes and purses. I buy food, dvds and health and beauty stuff.  I know I’m a wild one!! LOL

I recently renewed my passport and watched the mailbox like a hawk.  Everyone else I know got their passport in exactly a week.  Mine took 9 days. 😦  But the minute I got it in my hot little hands I was plotting to try it out.

On the plus side I did manage to find an “affordable” copy of Barre Basics.

Tomorrow is the start of my “at least 10 minutes a day” workout plan.

I still have not tallied my weekend spending.  What I know for sure is I am over the amount allotted to me by Canadian Customs, which is $200.  Shhhh don’t tell my government.  Not all of it is for me.  A friend asked me to pick up some things.  Plus I really tried to stick to buying products I can’t get in Canada like Aussie conditioner.  That bottle of conditioner is worth its weight in gold.

I had a great time.

My only little hiccup is that I bought Brave but I didn’t check the receipt until I got home and realized I paid $6 more that the sticker price. 😦  I am debating holding on to the receipt and the movie and on my next trip going back to the store for my money.  Depending on how far in the future that trip is I might actually do it. Or I see a great reason to go back! lol

On the decluttering front, I have ripped one box of CDs.  The other box is quietly calling my name.  I will pull it out tomorrow.  I don’t think I can get it all ripped by month end but I am willing to give it a better try that I have in the past.

As for working out … yeah let’s talk about that tomorrow. 😉


Bad Dreams

Don’t laugh.

I went to bed on Monday night and had the craziest dream.  In my dream it was Tuesday morning and I did the Jillian Michaels Yoga Meltdown video and it kicked my butt big time.  I then wrote a blog post cussing all of y’all for not reminding me that Jillian is a big meanie and her yoga video would not be easy.

Needless to say I woke up Tuesday and decided it would be a rest day after all. LOL

This afternoon I went to pick up some movies from the library and noticed Yogalosophy on the shelf.  This is apparently the trainer who worked with Jennifer Aniston before/during that movie where she is a stripper.  In fact Aniston even endorses this video and has a brief blurb in it.

Anyhoo, I did this video tonight and well … two things:

  1. I really miss the Core Fusion 30 Day Sculpt video
  2. I think I will try my luck with Jillian tomorrow.

I did not like this video at all.  I did not find Mandy inspiring.

According to the library’s website, 30 Day Sculpt is on its way back to me. 🙂  I think I might break down and purchase it.  Shhhhh, don’t tell my budget. 😉

Today is my last day with this video for a bit.  I have renewed it for the maximum amount of time. 😦  I’m still on the fence as to whether or not to purchase it as I already have so many exercise videos that I don’t watch. 😦

I will attempt to put it on hold again and see what happens.

Tomorrow is my usual rest day but I may change it to another day to see if I can get into Jillian’s Yoga Meltdown.

I don’t even want to tell you how long I have had this video.  My copy is still in the plastic. 😦  But now that I have discovered the joys of yoga I hope to put some wear and tear on this disk! 😉

PGH – 12/5/13

I think I have the attention span of a small child sometimes.  Any workout longer than 20 minutes I don’t really want to do.  Any workout that requires me to start and stop … it too falls off the radar easier than others.

So while the Barre Basics was nice as it consists of 10 minute workouts.  I just can’t get my act together to do more than 1 or 2 at a time. 😦

I am on day 4 and still enjoying this.  I have a very hard time not exercising as it is only 20 minutes and so far it’s non-impact.  So while I do get sweaty and out of breath it is not as jarring as Jillian.

This is a borrowed DVD from the library.  I am not sure yet if I love it enough to part with my hard-earned cash.
